 CDS choice of specification for sustainable building materials is GBCA approved Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA), especially for volatile emissions and hazardous materials. The building materials concerned are:

- Building Insulation Materials – GECA Standard No: BIMv2.0-2018

- Carpet – GECA Standard No: 50-2011 v2i

- Floor Coverings – GECA Standard No: 25-2011 v2i

- Furniture & Fittings – GECA Standard No: FFv3.0-2017

- Paints & Coatings – GECA Standard No: PCv2.2iii-2012 

   

  CDS engage sustainability in the architectural design by specifying energy efficient appliance & lighting, specifying water efficient plumbing fixtures, incorporating biophilia in office space, using energy efficient building material, renewable energy source and other sustainable design features.

CDS supports energy efficiency requirements as set out by Section-J of the National Construction Code (NCC). We believe that the lifetime value of the building has greater energy savings, as well as the health, wellbeing and comfort of the occupants increasing the value of a building with a higher efficiency outcome.
